The recently completed School of Communication at American University has received LEED Gold certification from the USGBC. The innovative renovation/addition utilizes a variety of environmentally friendly building materials, rigorous indoor air quality standards, and 100% green power. Other unique aspects induce a green cleaning initiative and green education outreach program.
