Wakefield High School in Arlington, VA has achieved LEED-NC Gold. With an impressive 46 of the required points to achieve a Gold rating, the new 338,000 sf high school incorporates a variety of sustainable technologies including a geothermal HVAC system, photovoltaic (PV) panels, solar hot water heating panels, rainwater harvesting for flushing toilets and irrigation, daylight harvesting, and interactive energy use displays.
